When You Come For My Gun, Who Wants to Be First?

« on: August 27, 2007, 06:30:50 PM »

Does anyone here in Washington State know, or speak with occaisonally, a State Representative or State Senator?  If so, why not inquire about obtaining an AG Opinion on whether Open Carry constitutes "Alarm" under RCW 9.41.270?  Only "Lawmakers" can request these Opinions so why not try for one?  The question would be "Does a firearm lawfully carried, in a holster, yet not concealed, provide for "Alarm" as described in RCW 9.41.270 as long as it is not carried in one of the specifically described places where weapons are prihibited?"

Might as well get started.

According to the Washington Arms Collectors, Rep. Tim Sheldon (D) from the 35th district is quite friendly towards 2nd ammendment stuff. I'm not in his district unfortunately.

Sorry if I inconvenienced anyone, but I figured this thread would fit better in the WA Law forum.
