I was reading in the NRA ILA website about California Firearms law. I think this is in most states also. It states that firearms laws do not apply to firearms made before 1898, and are not rimfire, or centerfire, or are not commercially available.  What about a 1873 peacemaker in .44-40 with blackpowder?  Not really commercially available, would you be okay OC or CC with this?

In Wa. there is no difference between a modern firearm or a antique. I have never heard about that in Ca. before so I can't say one way or the other.
