I was harrassed, intimidated , and detained by our finest in Blue, Wednesday, for open carrying my sidearm.
So we are having a picnic up here In Bellingham, at Bloedeldonovan Park, 2214 Electric Ave., 98229,  starting at 12 noon.
I am searching for a lawyer right now, so have been informed not to release to many details.

Well I didn't want to let the police get away with this but, lawyers don't see "damages" done and don't want to take the case. (Especially since I am broke). Just seems wrong, that they can break laws and intimidate and bully folks and get away with it. I was told by Dave Workman to take it easy relax, and cover up, I haven't it has made me more determined to open carry, I am not going to be intimidated into giving up my legally protected right.

As well as you shouldn't cover up and take it easy. On the same note just do what you have been doing. As long as they do not think you are trying to stuff it in their faces you will be just fine. As far as the damages go I have to agree with the attorneys because it is the courts and legislature that have given officers that act under good faith a certain amount of immunity. It does not mean I think your rights were not violated, I do think they were, it is just that the courts excuse it under a lot of circumstances.

I know , it's just frustrating because it was twice in one day and several officers all the way up the food chain, illegal detainment, illegal search, and threats of arrest if I went to city hall to file complaint.  I could understand if it was just the one incident and then they allowed me to file a complaint which they refused to do.  I agree with you there doesn't seem to be much I can do, I just wished the system that takes away my drivers license because I forgot to pay a ticket doesn't allow me to say oops sorry. But they are allowed to, and I never got an apology either.

I don't mean to vent any animosity against officers, just the ones that dealt with me , including the deputy cheif, Flo Simon. She also lied to Dave Workman when he called and asked her if she said and did certain things.

I don't and won't ever use my open carry right for in your face I just continue with my "lifesyle" that happens to include my legally protected method of carry. Hope I am not coming off wrongly just frustrated and wanting to vent. Thanks for lending me your ears.(eyes)

No problem. I understand the whole venting thing. It is always good to let it out.

Can you elaborate on the comment that you were threatened with arrest if you went to city hall to complain?

I was told by all the officers present, but specifically Flo Simon, deputy chief, that if I went to City Hall, I would be arrested. I was told if I came back into the police station I would be arrested. She also told me they were going to call ahead to city Hall and tell them I was coming and if they don't want me there they would charge me with trespassing and have me trespassed from there and the Police department.

Because of recent circumstances I have not been able to get around, injuries and lack of transportation. I am going to go back to Police station and file police misconduct report, or attempt to. And file my letter of complaint with City Hall.

WOW. They obviously have no idea how trespassing works. You have to commit a crime on city property to be trespassed from it. No crime = no lawful trespass order. I would also get as much of it documented as possible and make an appointment with the FBI.
