You are correct but they are safety issues that caused thier policy restricting pistol carry inside thier shows.

Why would it be any less safe for me to carry at a WAC gun show than any other business?

There is only one point I'd like to make.  This list is supposed to be places open to the general public freely.  I agree that the gun shows forbid open carry.  However, they are not freely open to the public.  The public must pay to get in.
Same thing with Seahawk stadium, the Fairs, etc.  I believe this list should be restricted to those places that do not charge to get in, but are freely available to the public.
I'm of the thought that if you have to pay to get in, they have a little more say in what goes on in there.  They are technically not a "Business open to the general public".
I'm open to alternative viewpoints though.

The main reason is the massive amount of firearm handling that goes on. It has in the past led to AD's and in some cases severely injuring or killing the gun show customers.

Then Why is Costco on the list?

Costco is open to the public if they want to pay for supposedly cheaper prices. They used to have stipulations for becoming a member, like having to belong to a certain credit union or own a business, but those seem to no longer apply. Heck you can buy a membership online now.

But I do see your point. It is not much different than the WAC shows really.

Anyone can go into Costco without paying a thing.  Of course you are limited to less than $400 and cash only.

That's a good point though, it is a mainly membership only "club".  I guess if we have one, we should really have the other!

It really does worry me that we come up with all kinds of excuses why a place devoted to those who use guns should ban personal defense firearms, and yet slam a place NOT devoted to firearms enthusiasts for doing the same...

I have recently been to Pacific Place and they still have a small sign inside the main doors asking to please refrain from "carry of any firearm, legal or not"... As I was OC'ing and meeting a friend for a birthday dinner, I chose not to abide their "request".  Wink

Didn't have any issue during dinner or when I made some jokes to a security guard as I walked by on my way to the exit.

Either they've changed their policy and not taken down the signage or they're just not enforcing it.

This list is also on the due not patronize page on the website. Thanks to just_a_car for keeping his list up to date over at OCDO.

Hey,
i noticed that you have Old Country Buffet and Olive Garden on the unfriendly places in WA.  In both cases I am certain that their national corporate policy is "Follow state law".  Here in PA I've open carried in Olive Garden's in from Philadelphia to Allentown without an issue.

Old Country Buffet was the sight of the Dickson City incident here in PA.  The police call was originated by other patrons, not by the OCB.  After that some of our people directly invovled in the incident got the policy nailed down pretty quickly.  I have patronized OCBs also from Philly to A-Town without problems.
