sv_libertarian, Introduction

Hello!

Briefly, I'm 27 and work as a sales contractor for The Olympian, the daily newspaper in Thurston County. Been living in Oly about 8-9 months. Prior to that Lynnwood and Seattle after a long and horrible two year stint in San Diego County. Have lived in the Puget Sound region since I was 9, before that Southern Oregon. Spent a few months in Grand Junction Colorado, and Big Spring Texas as well. I have lived on a boat since 2002, and my current boat, an Aquarius 23 sailboat (a LOT roomier than you would expect from a 23' boat) is named as all my boats have been Libertarian, hence the screen name. S/V Libertarian would be of course the Sailing Vessel Libertarian.

I have owned guns since 1999, and always enjoyed it.

Not sure how I originally tripped across OCDO, it was some google search regarding guns and washington state. Once I realized OC was not only legal, but being widely discussed, I started to OC as much as possible. I conceal often around Thurston County as my job does not permit me to anger local business, but will OC when I get the chance.

As is well known to many I really got into OC activism when an OPD officer detained and disarmed me in a park, which resulted in a training directive regarding the legalities of OC. This I consider my small contribution to the greater work done by others.

Beyond this, I hope to help continue to spread the word on OC, and personal defense. There an unrealized potential for activism on personal defense issues in this state and I hope to be able to play some role in it.

I also hope to find some more Pusser's Navy Rum without having to order a friggin' case of it... but I digress.
