I really like the notion of the NWCDL, especially as I have been jealous of the good works the VCDL has done.  What kind of work is needed here to help get off the ground?

We need to get the word out, need to increase use of the forum, keep the miscellaneous web pages up-to-date.  I've taken care of most, but really need someone to take the Gun Friendly/Gun Unfriendly pages.

Start referring people to the site, including it in signatures, etc.  I'm working on a pamphlet based on Virginia and Pennsylvania about gun laws that I hope to start carrying and perhaps bringing to gun shows.

Basically we need involvement.

Gregma if you are looking for volunteers to keep the pages update, say weekly updates, just let me know. We have the forum for people to post about friendly/unfriendly businesses so keeping the pages up to date is just a matter of time.

And keeping the people here once the word gets out.  There has been 7 out of the 35 users here in the past week.  And only the three of us has posted anything.

The key to keeping people is posting. If we can get dialogue going then I think we could get more posting and interaction. Maybe if we got Mainsail to post the goings on in Tacoma here instead of OCDO. I think if we could get some people to open threads here instead of OCDO then we would get some traffic.

I apologize for not keeping stuff up to date on the friendly/unfriendly page... my computer has been shot for the past couple of months and after getting it fixed, the NEW motherboard fried. I was rather irritated, but can't deal with it until after this week, since it's finals week for me.

I need to talk to you about your schooling.  I think I'm finally fed up enough that I want to get my degree as well (would have to be night/online/weekend though.)  I'm going to make it my mission to make those who harass us OC'ers a living hell legally.

That sounds like a great idea.  Mine is usually VERY boring, but I can do the same for the eastside.
