Well, this passed overwhelmingly.  Next set of restrictions that are sure to come will be even more draconian.  I guess response from the public about this very important issue was almost non-existent.  It will be easy for the next move to ban firearms all together.  You can't fire them now, so why even carry them?  Hopefully when this comes to bear there will be more of a protest.

Fortunately these will be covered under WAC and not RCW. I doubt, however it is possible at the state level I guess, that WAC can supersede and/or override RCW.

Why is it a good thing that this is a WAC and not an RCW?

Because a violation of a WAC is not criminal therefore if they did follow through and got a WAC that banned firearms totally you could not be prosecuted as you did not violate state law only admin code which is a monetary penalty only.

The next question would be can the DFW trespass you from public land for violating a WAC? My guess is no but local municipalities can do it and will do it.
