I don't blame you.  That email you got really worries me as well.  Especially coming from a supposed advocate.  And the threat is thinly veiled.

I would VERY strongly urge you to immediately contact IAB and file a formal complaint against the officers present at the stop, and Lt. Wilson for his ensuing email.  Two separate complaints.  It's plain that they are escalating the situation "officially".

  If I didn't have reservations already for this coming weekend I'd be there for sure!  The weekend of the 22nd I'll be free, and maybe we can do a follow up gathering on that day?

Lt. Wilson is internal affairs, or rather Office of Professional Accountability.  I am going to demand of the Mayor or the City Manager that the statement about being uncomfortable with armed citizens be retracted, and apologized for. 

I am going to address a lot of that email with city executives in fact.

If you can't come down this weekend, I am generally available anytime my work schedule allows.  Sat and Sun evenings only.  Monday and Tuesday (my days off) pretty darn flexible.  Will have to see what my holiday work schedule is.  Maybe we can meet somewhere in between...

I go on vacation starting tomorrow.  Will be out of town until Tuesday, then just hanging around until Jan 3rd when I go back to work.  As soon as I get back from out of town, I'll post something about another get-together in Oly.
